The objective of studies was to evaluate the bacteriological and parasitologic contamination of soil environment surrounding a layer farm. The soil samples collected from sites at various distances from the poultry house in all periods of investigation showed the presence of E.coli and Proteus spp. bacteria, whereas neither salmonella nor mycoplasma were recorded. The parasitologic examination of soil in all farms indicated the presence of Eimeria spp. oocystes, Ascaridia/Heterakis nematode eggs, Capillaria spp., Toxocara spp. and saprobiontic larvas and nematodes.
