The aim of this paper was to present canine upper respiratory tract
infections, their etiology, clinical course, diagnostic methods and
treatment. Currently, real-time PCR is applied more often to identify kennel
cough most common agents. We present the results of a study intended
to focus on respiratory infections and diseases, an important problem for
dog breeders. As a control measures the owners education, veterinary
surveillance for breeders and fast and reliable diagnostic methods are
recommended.
